I have been drawing for many years, but it was quilting to make me find my drawing style.

I noticed this after watching the inspiring video of Irene Roderick speaking with Jo Wright, which resonated with me at many levels, including this statement that Irene applied to her latest painting style.

In the example below, I join textures same as I piece fabric improvisationally on the design wall. Meaning of a piece is given more by its position than by its shape.

My drawings are made: first, with pencil on paper, then, with ink pen on paper, then I scan and colour it at the PC. I like to use solid colours, same as I have always made with solid quilting fabric. In the picture below maybe you also find the same palette!

I tried printing my drawings on postcards and on a foulard: now I can take my drawing with me, as an embrace.
